Mr. Shiro Tsujimura makes ceramics in the mountain, Nara Prefecture.Enthusiasts love simple yet deep charm of

A brief summary of his career

  • 1947 Born in Nara
  • 1965 Wishes to be a painter in oils. Intensely inspired by a classic Ido Tea Bowl and decides to take up pottery.
  • 1970 Settles in Mima, Nara Prefecture.
  • 1977 First exhibition at his home.
    Starts his long career exhibiting in Japan (oil painting and pottery)
  • 1990 First exhibition in Tachikichi, the head store in Kyoto (since that, it lasts 8 times)
  • 1993 Starts exhibition in other countries as Germany, The United States of America, France, United Kingdom and so on.
  • 1999 Honored with a solo exhibition at the Kyoto Chado Shiryoukan.
  • 2007~ Invited to exhibit at Artempo. Where Times Becomes Art, Palazzo Fortuny,Venice.
    Continues his career all over the world not only pottery but also picture and calligraphy.
